This isn’t a bureaucracy and there’s no form to prove you’re struggling enough. It’s a few women from town who happen to know what a Purple Heart weighs, and who’d rather show up than watch a neighbor go without.

We’re a small group of volunteers based right here in Williamsport, serving veterans and military families across Washington County, Maryland. Here’s the kind of thing we can actually help with — and where to turn when a need is bigger than what we can cover.

Support for military families
Spouses, kids, and caregivers carry a lot too. If your family is going through a hard stretch — a deployment, a homecoming adjustment, a loss — we’re glad to sit with you and figure out what would actually help.
When we should connect you elsewhere
We’re neighbors, not a benefits office — for things like VA disability claims, healthcare enrollment, or state benefits, the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families is the right starting point, and we’re happy to help you find your way there.
