Who We Are
Some of us are veterans. Some are wives, daughters, neighbors. All of us show up.
We’re the women’s side of American Legion Post 202 — and when someone in Washington County who once wore the uniform needs help, we don’t wait to be asked twice. Emergency aid. A ride to the hospital. A Poppy Fund check when the bills won’t wait. And because this town’s future walks through the schoolyard every morning, we show up for the kids too.

Our Story
Long before anyone called it “community service,” the women of Unit 202 were doing it anyway — driving a neighbor to the VA, folding poppies at the kitchen table, making sure no veteran’s family went through a hard season without someone checking in. That’s still the job. Different faces around the table now, same instinct: take care of our own. We keep one eye on the kids, too, because a town takes care of its future the same way it takes care of its past.
